About us
Salon 98 first opened its doors in 2014, having been set up by Laura and Zoe who used to work together at The Salon, just down the road, as stylist and business owner. The Salon’s resident beauty therapist, Claire, also decided to make the move.
Now, a few years on, and firmly established on Woodend Road, Salon 98’s staff has grown to include another full-time stylist. Read more about us below.

I’ve been a qualified hair dresser since 1993 & salon owner since 1999. I’ve been in the hairdressing business since I was 14 when I was just a Saturday girl. At 16 I went to Brunel technical college and qualified to become a hairdresser.
I’m now a full time stylist at Salon 98, over the years I have developed a wonderful relationship with my clients some of which have known me for 26 years. I enjoy being creative & love the social side of the job, there aren’t many jobs you get to have a coffee & a good chat whilst working.
I don’t have much time for hobbies as I my teenage daughter keeps me on my toes, though I do enjoy a nice walk on a beach side or in the country followed by a cheeky Sunday roast somewhere.

I am a beauty therapist and I love my job as much as I did when I qualified 23 years ago!
I enjoy doing all treatments especially massage and facials. I like the before and after reaction from clients after doing manicures, pedicures, eyebrows etc. I enjoy conversation with different clients through the day as much as meeting new people, which makes my job very rewarding.
I don’t have much time for hobbies as I have a husband, two children and a puppy, but I do like to eat out and socialise with my girlfriends. I also try and keep fit with running and Bootcamp.

I have been a hair stylist at salon 98 for 3 years now! I originally came to the salon for a little work experience through college and was lucky enough to gain a job from it.
Since then the time has flown, and I have built a lovely client base. I love everything about hair especially how rewarding it can be! My favourite thing to create is probably Ombré, finishing with some lush curls!!
Outside work I like to keep fit by going to the gym throughout the week, and spend the evenings with my family. I try to make the most of the weekends by seeing my close friends, either going out for some food or popping down the pub for a few drinks!
